S.O.S. from the basque country....!!!

Well......;I dont know how to explain the matter........

This is a S.O.S. post in order to get some info about you SOG unit.Whe live in the cold north of spain,in the Basque Country,and since aprox 2/3 years we are trying to recreate your army.Too dificult for us(your M90 isnt the most easy camo for get in the world),finally,our 23 members have one,in tac gear or original versions.We get also your country badges,mini swedish flags,etc.....And now we have other problem againhahaha......Want to recreate your SOG unit,and looking for their badge,I dont get any fiability info for that question.I have find one or two jpeg but not sure that they are the real thing.........


Please,show me the real badges of your SOG in any quality form(for catch it and leave to the embroid-man)...............

And of course,we´re pleased to meet you,sending thanks in advance for your help...........KEEP ON SWEDISH.......................

Wow really nice to see you guys Sporting Swedish gear! and what is even more fun is the last Pictures seeing you guys eating togheter and having fun! i guess its a Southern european thing ..being italian im used to end Everything i do eating amongst friends while im in italy

Thanks for reply....;in these photos,we have invited to an OP in an old air force base instalation.Already 60/70 persons with tunnels, lot of ammo warehouses and buildings...;and of course 20/30 h of mountains......;finally(since 7/8 hours of bbs flying),a big bbq and paella for all of us......,totally free!!(incredible)


PD:Thanks for all but we have a lot of surplus shops where we buy normally swedish items....We only need the SOG badges(or a jpeg of this)........

This is what I've seen and heard during my 4 years in the Army.
SOG do not have specific badges tapered on their uniforms. Their goal is not to look much different to the average soldier. Sure they have diffrerent platecarriers, helmets and weapons. But their uniforms look the same.


The cavallery insignias have been seen on operators, and this is not surprising since thay are housed in K3 Karlsborg. Note that all SOG Operators are Officers with the lowest rank of First Sergeant.


These IR Patches are common in SOG, during operations and low/no-light training.

Just hit me up with a PM if you want some detailed information about some parts of their equipment.

Dont think a operator needs to be a officer anymore, looking at http://rekrytering.forsvarsmakten.se/sv ... soperator/ it seems like "anyone" can apply to the unit.

If you apply without an officers degree, you do either the ASOU (Anpassad Spec. Off. Utb. 12mån) if eligible. Otherwise you get to do the normal SOU (Spec. Off. Utb. 18mån).

This is decided after the testweeks, the individual interview, etc.

Back on topic:

If we look at this picture we can see that the operators only have their IR reflective patch on the left arm. Nothing on the right arm, and nothing on the helmet.


Altough if the SOG are on a ISAF led mission in Afghanistan for an example, they wear the ISAF Patch on their right arm.

The second one is the heraldic shield of SOG, altough this is their signum, they do not have it on patches etc.
