As a wild guess judgeing by all the metal shavings (maybe just grease) could be a issue with your motor height, have you adjusted it correctly ? also check theres no damage to the positive cable that goes by the motor, its a common issue that it get damage when removing a motor https://www.youtube.c...

Also ref silicone,as long as you dont use a silicone product with a lot of petrol products in it the affect on a airsoft gun are negligable, the likes of madbull even recommend lightly greasing new bucking etc with silicone, its also dirt cheap from biltema, or just wipe it over with engine oil :D b...

depends what your gonna use it for, wiping down the body is ok etc
